The Book Shelf

Many people, myself amongst them, are interested in books about the life and history of South Yorkshire, but either find it difficult to get hold of them or don't know which of the many on offer are worth buying. This list of books is for them (and ME).

Please send your book reviews and recommendations for further reading to me at mail@esvc.freeserve.co.uk and I'll stick them on this page to help other readers. I've also provided links to the WH Smith Online site, where the books can be obtained mail order. And (never start a sentence with "And") if your reading interests lie elsewhere, don't worry - you can use the Search box at the bottom to look for books on any topic you choose.
