The Rebuilding Plans

This photograph has been marked up to show the extent of the rebuilding plans. The buildings marked in green are to remain, while those marked in red are to be demolished to make way for the new development.

All but the 1931 Grammar School main building, Lady Mabel Hall and the Gym block will be demolished. The new development will take place on the cricket square, and will be linked to the main building by a covered walkway. The classrooms on that side of the main building will also be increased in size by extending outwards. The land occupied by the Hunshelf buildings will be returned to its original use as a sports field. The tennis courts adjacent to the main drive will become a car park, and tennis/netball courts will be built on the land currently occupied by the Craft, 'Old' Science, and 'New' Science blocks.
